Latest Update About The Government Employees Protest At Punjab Civil Secretariat Lahore

As you know there is a protest that is going on at the Punjab Civil Secretariat. The issue of the Protest is that the Punjab Government has issued some new rules for the Government Employees. That are very strict and are not acceptable by the Goverment Empolyees

The issues of the Protest are :

• Like you know in other Provinces of Pakistan the Salary of the Government Employees are increased up to 35% while in Balochistan the Salaries are increased nearly up to 100% . But as according to Government of Punjab announced that the increment in salaries will be 30% and will only be implemented on the initial stage which was a big shock for the Government Employees as the Inflation keeps on hiking. 

• Also the pensions are only increased by 5% as you know the inflation has increased by over 100% since the last year.

• Punjab Government also announced that the person who is getting two pensions either from father or brother will only have one and the other one will be dismissed.

• Punjab Government also said that the Gratuity after the Government Employee retires will only be 25% and not 100% as they usually get.

The Protest is on going from Tuesday and Today it has been a proper lockdown in 38 other government organizations and no work has been today.

The leader of the Protest said they will only get up as they demands are fulfilled.
