Everyone wants to keep going and get more success as they can get in their life. Same as for Government Employees as they want to go to the Higher Rank but that's possible only in two situations the first one is Sonority Scale Promotion means you will get the Higher Rank with time for example you're at BS-11 scale and worked on the same scale for 5 years then you will be upgraded to the next scale as according to the Seniority List. The promotions in the Seniority scale can take up to 5 to 10 or sometimes even more and sometimes the Government Employee will stay on one scale for their whole life and get the promotion but this is very unlikely to happen. This depends on the number before yours in the Seniority List. There is also one other way besides those two main ways and that is DPC ( Departmental Promotional Committee ). The government will make a committee for that particular department that analyzes the people who didn't get promoted but deserved promotion so they promote for that you have to submit an application. The second way to get a Higher Rank in Government Job is applying to a Higher Rank job and when you get it your scale will increase and so does your service will count.

To apply for another Government job as a Government Employee you need the first two things that are very important and that's all you need :

1. Get NOC from the Government Organization or Department you are currently working in.
2. When you got the job you have to resign from the previous Government job by giving a resignation letter.
